The Power of Prayer

Every Friday after the 8:30 Mass at Queen of All Saints we go down the street to the corner of Grant and Pacheco. We pray the whole rosary. There is no protesting as such but we do give out information and talk to people who are passing by. About one month ago a woman came up to me, put her hand on my shoulder and said "Thank you for being here. If it were not for your praying here I would not have the beautiful grandson I have today". She smiled and walked away. Was that worth 20 years of prayer? You bet it was! We should never underestimate the power of public witness. We pray and God works the miracles. Whether or not we ever know about them does not make any difference.
